The Stauffer lab opened its doors in the fall of 2015. Since then we have been working hard to set up the lab and get several projects started. We are located in the Systems Neuroscience Institute (SNI) at the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to my lab, the SNI houses the labs of Peter Strick, Andy Schwartz, Rob Turner, Aaron Batista, and Omar Gharbawie. The Stauffer lab studies reward-related behaviors (learning, decision making, etc) and investigates the underlying neural mechanisms. In addition, we develop tools that will enable cell type-specific investigation of neural function in macaque monkeys. This website will soon be updated with detailed information about lab members, research, and news. Until then, If you have any questions or are interested to join the lab please contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org!
